Black and White

Black and white says dramatic.

No two ways about it if you are using predominately black and white in a scheme then it will be bold.

"I would suggest thinking carefully about black walls unless you are very sure you know what you are doing"

It can be just as spectacular without going the whole way.

The chinese are not very keen on all black or all white rooms. These are colours associated with death in their cultures.

We tend to view black as a death colour too, and white as the virginal and pure.

"I would always have to add a dash of colour to an all black and white scheme, but even the wood of floors or furniture will give warmth if you prefer."

Use soft white rather than brilliant white to cut down the glare.
