Mexican
"Santa Fe calls to me."
"I know its in New Mexico but I don't care. I want to live
there. I want the adobe walls and the vast landscapes and the sun
and I can’t have it."
|

|
"I can however, if I want, have the vivid blues and acid yellows and
tropical greens that say Mexico."
"They like their colours even brighter than in the Mediterranean, and
blue is very popular, said to ward off evil spirits. It makes me
think of medieval in a way."
"It must be the simplicity and the practicality of everything. There is a
rawness that is wonderful but the sun makes it a lot more fun
that’s for sure." |
| The key to creating a Mexican style is to create the framework of matte
chalky walls with tiled or wooden floors, fill it with chunky simple
furniture, and then over indulge in a glorious riot of colour.
Kitchens are a great place to start with this look. |
